I am currently a student in the MFA program here at PSU. I won two young adult writing awards, one in 2006 and the other in 2007 from The Pacific Northwest Writer's Association. I can't claim to completely understand adolescents, but after having worked with them for over a decade, I find them - and the books written for them - fascinating.
